Your Help is Needed

I was born to unchristian parents.  My father and mother names are Garang Akech Kuch and ArokAwich Daw. Both parents were later baptised. My mother was baptised in the 1990s and named Monica and my father Garang was baptised and named Abraham in 2003 after I visited him. I influenced him to believe in God and he was baptised by Ven. Joseph Ajok Garang.

My parents broughtme up until the age of nine yearswhen I got recruited in 1988with my sister Elizabeth Amer Garang during the Second Sudanese Civil War aspart of the Red Army to Western Ethiopia. We settled there atDimma Refugee Camp.I became known as Jacob Deng Garang Akech at baptism on December 24,1988in Dimma.

My father was married to four wives with my mother being the last wife. His four wives formed a familyof 25 Children. And from my mother, we are two brothers and three sisters with me being in the second position.Fortunately, all of them arealive and married. My mother is alive and now lives in South Sudan. My father passed away on October 13, 2008, at the age of 106. The burial of Abraham Garang was conducted by Abuna JosephAjok.
